Sinful Colors Grecian Sun: Swatch and Review

Hello gentle readers.

Today I have Grecian Sun by Sinful Colors for your perusal. Grecian Sun is a bright, clear cerulean blue crelly. This polish looks like a brilliant Summer sky. I love the shiny, slightly squishy quality of this pretty polish. I applied two coats of this polish for this swatch and shot it without top coat.

The formula on Grecian Sun is really lovely. It is smooth and silky and it flowed off the brush and sat down where I wanted it to go. I didn't have to do much cleanup as I applied and I didn't have to fight with dragging, streaking or bubbling. Dry time is respectable for this polish, even without top coat tho a fast drying topper would definitely aid in getting you out the door a little faster.

What do you think of this pretty polish? Do you own it? How do you feel about Sinful Colors, in general? Do you like this brand? Please share.

Thank you so much for popping in, today. Have a terrific day and may your polish never bubble.

  1. That is a very pretty color. I might have to pick it up if I have to see it in the store this week.

  2. I think their formula is a bit thick.. then again I think I only tried 1 of their polishes but I do own more than one but I haven't tried those.

  3. I believe I did pick this one up but haven't used it yet. The only thing that frustrates me about Sinful is how they slip old colors into new displays so it's hard to know what's new and what's limited edition and what's a repromote. For $1.99, though I suppose I shouldn't really complain. :)

  5. It is pretty. :) Walgreen's has sinful on sale for ninety-nine cents, this week. :D

  6. Sinful can be a tad inconsistent as far as formula is concerned. The glitters, especially ten to be extremely thick, even concrete-like. lol I don't mind thinning a little if the colour is beautiful.

  7. That frustrates me, as well. Re naming and re promoting colours as often as Sinful does makes it hard to keep track. I don't buy a duplicate, often but I have done it a couple of times. I just pass them along, when I do. It would be nice if Sinful could expand their shade range and come up with more original shades. :)

  8. Mine, too. It was always the first crayon to be worn completely away and then I would have to have a new box, to replace that one colour. I about ran my mother into the poor house begging for 64 boxes of Crayolas. lol

  11. I also own this color and I love it. Next to China Glaze, Sinful Colors is my favorite brand of nail polish. I find it to be long wearing with little or no chipping.

  12. This is a fantastic blue! Not sure about the name though lol - is a Grecian Sun blue? Is that a mythology reference I'm missing? LOL!

  13. Yeah... I don't get the connection, either. I have never seen a blue sun. lol While mythology isn't my strong suit, I don't think that you have missed anything. It seems to be a case of people making up screwy names. :D

  17. OH NO! Another Sinful Colors polish after my own heart. This is MY color, my fav (after Lilac, of course ;). I swear, the Sinful Color bottles have begun to mate on my shelf overnight. There seem to be more and more every time I look, and they're all gorgeous. I couldn't have bought ALL of those, now could I???

By the way, this is a beautiful color for you, Erica. Flaunt it!
