Hello gentle readers.
Today I have yet another pretty polish that has languished for forever and a day in my untried polishes stash. This is Essie Mint Candy Apple from their Winter 2009 Collection. I lemming'd this polish so hard for so long. Then I finally acquired it and let it sit all this time. Part of the reason why was that I was a little spooked by some of the reviews I read and my experiences with similar pastel milk paint like creme polishes that came out at that time and were so huge through 2010. Essie Mint Candy Apple is one of those polishes. A soft, pastel mint green creme that was smooth and opaque in three coats. Top coat helped finish it perfectly. I took the photographs of this beauty in sun and shade.
Essie Mint Candy Apple is a surprisingly smooth and silky creme polish with just a hint of jelly that helps prevent this from being a chalky, difficult mess. It applies fairly smoothly; the first coat was a bit streaky but the second went on very nicely. By the time I had the third coat on, it was almost impeccably smooth and was fully opaque. Top coat melted and finished this polish off, perfectly.
Essie Mint Candy Apple is pretty easy to find. I bough my bottle on Amazon. You can find it at most e-tailers and brick and mortar stores and salons that sell Essie.
Do you own this pretty little mint? What think you of it?
Thank you so much for popping in and reading. Have a great day and may your polish never bubble.

Thank you. I wanted it so bad in 2009 but kinda put it off ever since. I've almost bought several times, but hesitated. Now I'm definately gonna get it.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. You are too kind. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely, isn't it? I love that colours evoke different feelings in people. This shade makes me think Spring and it makes you think Winter. :D
ReplyDeleteWhy, thank you! :)
ReplyDeleteIt is pretty and yes, I do think that you need this. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for thinking of me and tagging me but I am not going to participate. I have done so many of these things, as many as I really want to. I hope that you understand and that I haven't hurt your feelings.
This one can really call to you, can't it? And it is pretty. It sure grabbed e by the eyes and didn't let go until it was in my stash.
ReplyDeleteI can't remember if I have Revlon Minted. If I do, I can do a comparison.
I have never tried Gosh Polishes. But they are starting to encroach on American territory and I hope that they will soon make their way West to me, soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your kind words and welcome and thank you for following! :D
Well then, I have accomplished my mission, this round. :D
ReplyDeleteNot a problem my dear! I totally understand, all these tags can get a little out of control. :) hugs*
ReplyDeleteThank you for understanding. <3
