Hello gentle readers.
Today's swatch is Sunshine Pop from the Electropop collection. Sunshine Pop is a bright, warm, golden yellow jelly with silver shimmer. This polish is a little more sheer and needed three coats. If I remember correctly, I didn't apply top coat for this swatch.
These photographs were shot in the sun.
China Glaze Sunshine Pop has a nice formula. For a yellow it was amazingly well behaved and applied very smoothly. It is a tad sheer and needs three coats but it applies so nicely with no streaking, bubbling, pooling or dragging that three coats wasn't a big deal. This is seriously bright, shimmery and very pretty. If you are on the hunt for a Summer sunshine polish, you could do a hell of a lot worse than this little beauty.
Do you own Sunshine Pop? What do you think about it? Please do tell.
Thank you so much for popping in. Have a great day and may your polish never bubble.
It's hard to find a good yellow and this one is BEAUTIFUL!!! I really need to get this :)
ReplyDeleteIt might be the angle of your photos but is it a slight suede finish? or is that the shimmer? lovely color. going to purchase now :)
ReplyDeleteIt's the shimmer. This polish is a jelly and in person has a lovely translucency. Yay! I think that you will like it. It really is bright and so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI think that you really do. :D
ReplyDeleteThis is a nice color. I have a yellow nail polish that sucks, should try this one.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! And perfect for the warm weather we've been having (excusing today's cool temps).
ReplyDeleteOh. I've never liked yellow polish much but this is rad!
ReplyDeleteIt is rad. :D I think that the bit of gold and even a bare hint of red gives this polish a richer, warmer tone that doesn't read baby chick yellow. The shimmer makes it more sophisticated, too. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is perfect for warmer days. Too bad it is still in the thirties, up here today. We got a little snow, last night. Yuk.
ReplyDeleteThis is just about the color of my bedroom!!!
ReplyDeleteI really like this one! It's so bright and sunny.
ReplyDeleteWow, that´s a bright color :)
ReplyDeleteI like it very much , although I don´t wear yellow polishes because they don´t look good on me :)
Love it-but then again, I'm a hardcore ChG fan-I've been using the line for 5 years now and am happy to see they've massively improved the formula so it doesn't chip as easily. The thing with ChG is, however, that a large % of colours are very sheer-so unlike OPI or Essie, it takes 3 coats (or an undercoat of white) to really make the colours pop. I had no idea it was a jelly with a silver sheen to it in the background, however-looks like I'll have to get this one. : )
ReplyDeleteNever tried yellow nail polish but this just screams summer! I may reconsider getting it! Oh, and I just received my FP "Laugh Your Art Off", it looks gorgeous in the bottle and I can't wait to try it!! Thanks again for your previous swatches!!!
ReplyDeleteThis one does scream Summer, doesn't it? It is sunshine in a bottle. If you get it, I hope that you really like it. :) Yay! You got Laugh My Art Off. Isn't it a beauty? You are so welcome. I enjoy swatching. Really. It's fun. :)
ReplyDeleteYou made me want this more than I thought I did before. *adds to my wish list*
ReplyDeleteThis is actually one of my faves from this collection, although I rarely wear yellow. I'm kinda in Love with it:)
