Hello gentle readers.
Today's manicure is Color Club Secret Rendezvous from their Spring Alter Ego Keep It Under Cover Collection. I found this collection at my local Ross. It came with six delicately pigmented creme polishes and a bottle of Milky White Base Coat. Secret Rendezvous is a pretty, delicate lilac creme. I applied three coats and topped it with Seche Vite. I like this polish. It is soft, gentle and ladylike. A nice little change of pace from my previous wonderful but a little crazy multi layered mani. :D
These photographs were taken in filtered sun. This time of year it is a little hard to find, what with the Monsoon up and running.
Color Club Secret Rendezvous is pretty but a bit of a pain in the ass. It was a little streaky, not the best at self leveling. I had to apply three coats and a thick coat of Seche Vite to get it all nice and smooth. I was happy that the polish didn't pool or run or drag. Dry time is good, even in this nasty humidity and after applying three thick coats. So, a little good, a little evil but overall, a nice enough polish.
Thank you so much for popping in. Have a great day and may your polish never bubble.
This is very pretty! I have this entire collection but I haven't worn Secret Rendezvous yet.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Nail Stories. But this is a lilac, not white. My camera washes out pastels.

ReplyDeletenailandbeautyblog, Thank you. It is nice, there is enough squish in this polish to keep it from being chalky or flat. I love that. :D

Nailholic, if you have a Ross in your area, you might find it there, if you don't have any luck, elsewhere.
Lilach, I am so sorry. I forgot to top this polish with matte top coat before I did my nail art. I'll try to remember to do a swatch for you.
SM, I like this length a lot. It feels long to me without them getting in my way and driving me nuts. :D
