Today, I have Color Club Incognito from their Alter Ego Reveal Your Mystery collection. This is a soft pink-beige, a very neutral, gentle colour. This polish is a jelly and is pretty sheer. I applied two coats and still have pretty definite VNL. To get this completely opaque, three or even four coats would be needed. I like the soft, slightly sheer look, tho so I stopped at two. This is one of those polishes that if you had zero time to do your nails, you could apply a fast coat of quick dry basecoat and one coat of this polish, run out the door and it would leave your nails softly polished, gently shiny and it will get you through your day with dignity.
If you like a soft, delicate polish, crave a palate cleanser in between stints of deep, intense and glittery polishes this one might be just the thing for you. If you work in a more conservative environment where "wilder" polish colours aren't appropriate, this could be a very nice work polish.
In shade. See how shiny and squishy? There is a definite difference between the bottle colour and the colour on my nails. In the bottle, it looks more tan. On, it is more pink.
With clouds having moved between my nails and the sun. This polish isn't streaky as it may look on a couple of my nails. That is just my Grand Canyon sized ridges wreaking havoc with things. lol
The formula of this polish is very silky, smooth and a pleasure to apply. It goes on easily and stays where you put it. The small amount of cleanup I had to do was just fussbudget refining. The first coat was sheer and ever so slightly streaky, the second made it semi opaque and leveled out beautifully. I had a little bubbling on my left ring finger, more due to my application, methinks. When I applied Seche Vite, the bubbles mostly smoothed away. Topcoat enhances the beautiful squishy-ness and shine. It dries pretty quickly, too. I don't have any complaints about this polish, at all. It is soft, pretty, very ladylike and dreamy to work with. If that sounds like something you would like, you might really enjoy this polish.
I am test driving Color Club Milky White Basecoat. I thought that if it works for me, it would be nice to have a backup to China Glaze Strong Adhesion Basecoat. I'll do a report and review of Milky White Basecoat when I reach a conclusion. I can say that this is my second manicure with it and so far... So good. We'll see how it performs over time. :)
Before I go, I need to show you something. Dead kitteh in the window?
No. That is just Marley, all sprawled out full length in my bedroom window, soaking up as much solar radiation as he can and taking a nap. That cat loves sunshine so much. He enters a bar of sunshine or gets into a sunny windowsill and he instantly blisses out. Sunshine is crack for cats. lol
Well, I suppose that is all I have to natter about, for now. Thank you all so much for popping in. Have yourselves a lovely evening and may your polish never bubble.
